RHD’s New A-Team Supports Recovery at Pittsburgh Walk

RHD’s new A-Team program offers an innovative approach to crisis intervention. In collaboration with the Allegheny County Department of Human Services, the program uses the Alternative Response Model, providing mobile support as an additional emergency service alongside police, fire, and medical personnel for 911 calls.
On September 7th, A-Team staff participated in the Pittsburgh Recovery Walk to celebrate the many roads to recovery from addiction. The team’s involvement emphasized their dedication to delivering specialized mental and behavioral health services, with a focus on minimizing hospitalizations and avoiding forceful interventions during emergencies. By joining the recovery community for the walk, the A-Team strengthened their mission to offer compassionate, community-focused care that promotes positive outcomes.
