Resources for Human Development's programs in New Jersey were devastated by Hurricane Sandy. RHD's New Jersey programs support those with mental illness, people in addiction recovery and people experiencing homelessness. (Read about how RHD staff stayed with their clients, working in difficult circumstances even as their own homes were washed away, to make sure RHD clients stayed safe and continued to receive the highest quality care here). Still the damage to RHD facilities in the path of the storm is almost incalculable.
RHD is setting up a Hurricane Sandy Relief and Recovery fund to help those affected by the storm. You can contribute to help people recover and rebuild their lives here:
A national human services nonprofit founded in 1970, Resources for Human Development serves tens of thousands of people of all abilities every year with caring, effective and innovative programs addressing intellectual and developmental disabilities, behavioral health, homelessness, addiction recovery and more.
